Flo Ankah
Flo Ankah is a theatermaker from France whose solo plays with music have been presented in residency at Joe’s Pub and Feinstein’s/54 Below. As a playwriting fellow with Athena Theater, she wrote “Out of the Box” that was produced at Symphony Space. Flo has worked as a translator for John Oliver and the Comédie Française. MORE ABOUT ME
I am curious about what material gets presented in front of which audience. If theater is meant to expand our perspective and bring us to take action in our world, then I’d be curious about a diversity of culture and accessibility. Creating works that bring a mainstream audience into a room to experience a story, not just making theater for people who want to see themselves on stage. I am also curious about using social media, a digital stage, to bring people together in person to experience a story.
